Overview

PTEST.PRO is a professional pressure test monitoring platform developed for oil & gas wellsite operations. This policy explains what information the website and the desktop application collect, why, and how it is used. We are committed to collecting the minimum data necessary for the tool to function.

Website Analytics

Automatic data collection

The PTEST.PRO website uses Yandex Metrica for anonymous visitor analytics. The following data may be collected automatically when you visit any page:

This data is aggregated and anonymous. No personally identifiable information (name, email, or employer) is collected automatically. Analytics data is processed by Yandex in accordance with the Yandex Privacy Policy.

Desktop Application · PTEST_PRO.exe

User-entered job data

The desktop application and the browser-based monitor allow you to enter the following fields when generating a PDF pressure test report:

This information is entered manually by the user and is used solely to populate the PDF report generated locally on your device. It is never transmitted to any server automatically.

Submit to server — optional, user-initiated only

The application includes an optional "Submit to server" button. When a user explicitly clicks this button, the current session data (pressure readings and job metadata listed above) is transmitted to the PTEST.PRO server and stored for independent validation purposes. This action is always voluntary and user-initiated — it never occurs automatically. Submitted sessions are accessible via the Validation page using a unique session ID.

Downloads

Executable file (PTEST_PRO.exe)

The downloadable Windows application is a portable executable built with PyInstaller. It requires no installation and runs entirely offline. It does not modify the Windows registry, does not access files outside its working directory, and does not connect to the internet except on local port 8765 (used as an internal HTTP server between the application and the browser interface).

The executable may be flagged by some antivirus software or browser SmartScreen filters due to the PyInstaller packaging format, which is also used by some malware. The application itself contains no malicious code. It has been submitted to Microsoft for review via the Microsoft Defender SmartScreen feedback portal.

Cookies

Cookie usage

The website may set cookies through Yandex Metrica for analytics purposes (session tracking, bounce rate measurement). No cookies are used for advertising, remarketing, or tracking across third-party sites. The desktop application does not use cookies.
